Billing and Your Account

Billing, Pausing and Cancelling

Everything about money lives on the Billing screen, which covers every site you have with us. This is what each control does before you press it.

What Is on the Billing Screen

Open Billing from the menu down the left of your dashboard. It is an account-level screen: it covers every website you have with us, not the one you happen to be looking at. Going down the page:

  1. Your sites and what each one costs, with the total, the next billing date, and a way to restart any site you have cancelled.
  2. Add Another Site. Putting a second website on the same bill.
  3. Card and Invoices. One button, Manage card and invoices, which opens Stripe — that is where your card already lives.
  4. Pause Billing. One of these for each bill that can be paused.
  5. Cancelling. The screen that ends a bill, and names every site that stops before you confirm.

What the Plans Cost

Pro monthly — $88 a month
You get one website, with the full allowance of tracked keywords, assistant questions, competitor page analyses and Canary Pages. It renews each month until you cancel it.
Each extra website — $44 a month
Its own tracked keywords, assistant questions, competitor page analyses and Canary Pages, on the same bill and the same dashboard. Keyword research lookups are the one thing shared across your sites, because working out what to target is one job however many sites you own. Half price, because we only have to get to know you once.

You can add another website from your Billing screen — it shows what the rest of this month costs before you confirm, and your billing date never moves. If you hold more than one subscription with us, write to us from the Help page in your dashboard or through the contact form and we will sort it out.

Editor Seats

People you invite from Team in the menu can view the sites you share with them for free, up to 3 of them. Editors can also change a site’s keywords, AI questions and other settings, and they come in packs: 5 editors for $40 a month, up to 4 packs.

A pack is a line on the same bill as your sites, so there is still one charge a month. Adding one under Add Editor Seats on the Billing screen shows what the rest of this month costs before you confirm. Dropping one takes its seats away straight away and lowers your next invoice, with no refund; adding it back within the same month costs nothing. You can’t drop a pack while editors are using its seats — make someone a viewer, or remove them, first.

Pausing a site changes nobody’s access. When a site is cancelled or removed, its editors become viewers of it.

Card and Invoices

Card details, invoices and receipts live with Stripe rather than with us — your card is already there, and we would rather not hold a copy of anything we do not need. The Card and Invoices section has one button, Manage card and invoices, which opens Stripe, where you can change the card and download invoices. Cancelling is on the Billing screen itself — see below.

Pausing

If you are having work done on the site, or a quiet season, you can pause billing for 1, 2, 3 months — up to 3 — from the Billing screen. The button tells you the exact date billing resumes before you press it, because “paused until 15 November” is a different decision from “paused for three months”.

  • If it’s the only site on your bill, nothing is charged while it’s paused. If you have several, pausing one takes that site’s share off your bill — the others keep running, and you keep paying for those. Whichever applies, it resumes on the date shown.
  • Each site can be paused once every 12 months, counted from the day the pause starts — a short pause uses it up just the same.
  • Your history and settings stay exactly as they are — nothing is archived and nothing has to be set up again.
  • Everything scheduled stops while you’re paused — the daily checks, the weekly AI answers, and the monthly audit — and starts again the day billing does. A three-month pause means three audits you do not get.
  • You get an email one week before billing resumes, and you can resume early from the same screen at any time.

Cancelling

Cancel from your Billing screen. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep the dashboard until then rather than losing it the moment you press the button. The screen names every site that stops before you confirm.

After that, your history is kept for 90 days in case you come back, and then deleted. We write to you before that happens rather than letting it go quietly.

Cancelling and refunding are different things and it matters which you mean: cancelling ends future charges and leaves your access running to the end of the period. Refunds are set out in full in our refund policy.

Paused, Cancelled or Deleted

Paused
You are not being charged, the checks have stopped, everything is kept, and it all resumes on a date you chose.
Cancelled
You are not being charged again, your access runs to the end of the paid period, and your history is kept for 90 days after that.
Deleted
What happens at the end of those 90 days if you have not come back. You get a reminder before it, and can ask for a copy of anything first.

Common Questions

Will I Be Charged Again While Paused?

If it’s the only site on your bill, nothing is charged while it’s paused. If you have several, pausing one takes that site’s share off your bill — the others keep running, and you keep paying for those. Either way it resumes on the date shown on the button, which is also the date the checks start again, and you get an email one week before that happens.

What Happens to My Data If I Cancel?

Your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. After that we keep your history for 90 days in case you come back, tell you before it goes, and then delete it.

Can I Get a Refund?

Our refund policy sets out the terms for every product, including which purchases are refundable and for how long.
